Diesel
INEOS Refining produces both regular and premium grades of diesel.
Specifications for fuel products are becoming ever more stringent. By 2009, diesel is expected to have to comply with a 10 parts per million (ppm) maximum sulphur specification in the European Union. This constitutes a significant reduction from the 50 ppm of sulphur currently permitted by European Union diesel specification. To comply with these stringent specifications, refineries must make expensive technology upgrades.
INEOS Refining currently supplies approximately 4.1 million Tonnes per annum of diesel predominantly into the European market. This is split between 50ppm spec and ULSD (10ppm spec).
Our products conforms to EN590 specification (plus CSR450/CSR408 for Lavera). (Click here to see
